This is rather mysterious

Kyrgyzstan’s opposition leader escapes life attempt

BISHKEK, November 13 (Itar-Tass) - One of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan’s oppositional movement For Reforms has escaped an attempt on his life, the press service of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Monday.
Criminals threw two grenades into the windows of Isu Omurkulov’s house. One grenade exploded in a children’s room on the second floor and another – on the roof.
No deaths or injuries were reported, the press service said.
Several days ago Omurkulov took his family to relatives to a suburb near Bishkek.
Investigation is underway.
“At present, different versions and the list of suspects are being studied,” the press service said.
Omurkulov is one of the most active organizers of the opposition rally in Bishkek from November 2 to November 8. Protesters demanded resignation of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev and Prime Minister Felix Kulov and a constitutional reform.
After the parliament adopted a revised basic law, political tensions ceased in the republic.
For Reforms was set up last spring by Kyrgyzstan’s several authoritative political parties.

Goes to show you that being a dissentor in Kyrgyzstan is rather risky.
